Kiteboarding in Vietnam, surfing, windsurfing
Day has started as always – in the tiny restaurant on the  embankment. There were neither waves, nor wind. So we decided to discover neighborhoods of Ba Ria Vung Tau. Furnished ourselves with cameras we jumped on motorbikes and directed to fishermen’s village Ben Da on the other side of peninsula. Road goes through picturesque serpentine around big mountain Muy Lon (520 meters high). On the one side of the road there are quarries where people are extracting gravel and houses of poor folks. Their houses are old French fortifications.

Vung Tau was very famous town during the “French time” as Cap Saint Jacque or Au Cap in French. Vung  Tau is a resort town located 128 km from Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon). There are many modern hotels on its three main beaches. Even through Vung Tau is popular with sightseeing like status of Jesus overlooking the southern point of the peninsula, Bach Dinh (Villa Blanche), Niet Ban Tinh Xa (Themple of Nirvana) and lighthouse which was built in 1910.
