Over the past year surfing in Russia has gained such popularity that a similar competition was important. This year the championship of Russia on surfing for the first time and consists of three stages (first: 30 January - 8 February, the Dominican Republic, second: 3 - July 14, Bali, Third: September 30 - October 10, Portugal). 
We already wrote about the first stage of the championship of Russia on surfing Domenikanskoy conducted in the republic. It is the second phase, which will be held in Bali (Indonesia) from 3 - 14 July 2009. 
Contest open only to Russian riders and riders from the CIS countries, ie a Russian rider may take part, predvoritelno need to register. Championship will be held in three disciplines: shotboard Beach Balangan, longboard and bodyboard on the beach Kuta. The prize fund of $ 3000 tournament. By passing the competition all participants and guests waiting for a very rich program of events with the participation of DJ's from Russia and Bali rock bands, master classes on surfing and demonstrations of the best Russian athletes. Anyone will be able to see, as many try and Tow in surfing. The idea of tow in surfing is that hydrocycles towing surfer on a wave, followed by surfers go tether further moves on the wave of its own. This saves power and significantly more to catch the waves, even with little training. At the base camp competition will be competitions in beach volleyball, as well as daily events. 
Championship of Russia in 2009, surfing on the rules under the International Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP). Competitions will be held on the principle - «in flight». Participants are allocated on arrival, the Chief Justice of the competition so that advanced surfers competed in various races in all rounds until the quarter-finals.
